In an offering of mainly lower yielding fleece wool and a noticeable increase of prem wool, the market was generally cheaper for low yielding types, and or lower nkt lots.
Better types in 17.0-21.5u with favorable AM’s and higher yields started off irregular, then gained strength as the sale progressed and ended up fully firm, tending dearer.
16.5u and finer were cheaper in a very poor offering.

Fine Merino skirtings with less than 3%vm closed 10/15ac cheaper in a limited selection today. Poorer style and lower yielding wools carrying above 5%vm drifting lower in a large offering and closed 25/35ac cheaper.

Prems and lamb’s types in the 42-44HM range closed with finer microns 10/15ac cheaper and 19.0mic & coarser generally unchanged. Longer lambs/prems in the 46-54HM range closed with finer microns firm/unchanged & 19.0 to 20.0mic 10/15ac cheaper in a reasonable selection today.

A mainly good/best topmaking selection of 17.5 to 19.5mic again under pressure today with Chinese indent buyers less active. 20.0 to 21.5mic opened generally unchanged and then eased slightly as sale progressed to close 5/10ac cheaper. Another large offering of lower yielding drought affected wools also eased 10/15ac with less competition from the topmakers.

Fine Merino skirtings with less than 4%vm followed the fleece to close 10/15ac cheaper today. Poorer and lower style wools carrying higher vm closed 20/30ac cheaper.

Prems and lamb’s types in the 42-44HM range closed with finer microns 10/15ac cheaper and 19.0mic & coarser 15/20ac cheaper. Longer lambs/prems in the 46-54HM range closed with finer microns 10ac cheaper & 19.0 to 20.0mic 10/15ac cheaper in a larger selection today.

On an poor selection of better types/am in 17.0 microns and finer, and a reasonable offering of 17.5-21.5 microns, mainly good and good/best types, the market was irregular tending cheaper in 19.0 microns and finer,and firm, tending dearer in 19.5-21.5 microns.
Selected lots in 17.5-18.5 microns attracted premiums from NEW/GSA and Tianyu, especially lots with NM status.
CH types in 18.5microns and finer were cheaper.

In a very small offering of 17.0 to 19.0mic good/best topmaking and a mainly good/poor style offering of 19.5 to 21.5 mic Chinese types the market retracted today with poorer style fine wools suffering the largest falls (50-60ac). 17.0 to 19.0 mic good/best topmaking types closed 30/40ac cheaper. 19.5 to 21.0mic best style/am lots 25/30 ac cheaper and poorer style 15/20ac cheaper. Competition improved from China indent buyers in the last hour of selling.

Fine Merino skirtings with less than 3%vm irregular today with some lots slightly dearer and poorer style tending buyers favour. Poorer and lower style wools carrying higher vm closed 10/15ac cheaper.

Chinese types were cheaper.
